god that picture of that baby is creepy!

There's that cafe on Glebe Point Rd, called 'Badde Manors' which is a little silly...

I love that cafe! How could I forget?!?!

*slaps wrist*

Possibly the baby has been drinking Starbucks coffee...

Heyy.. I like that cafe, name and all! Actually, I've been meaning to take Taffy there for weeks- it's so nice and veg-friendly. Also, they make nice mochas.

But silly names... what train of logic led Starbucks and Gloria Jeans to pick such random un-coffee-associated names?

Mm... Chez Prune, so.. delicious. Arousal I get! Coffee is such a warm tingling stimulating.. well, it's nice in the morning.

There's a bit in SMH's Column 8 today about band names:

Christine Alexander , of Clunes, admires the names of two of the bands on the bill at the Harvest Ball in Nimbin last night: Zero Tolerance and the Riot Squad, and Maxx Mango and the Seedless Variety. So do we. Who knows if they sound any good? Who cares? Their names blow Silverchair and Oasis off stage.

Most cafes just pinch something Italian (that may or may not mean what they think it does) and underestimate the importance of creative cafe names!!!

actually, about Badde Manors: the smoothies there suck.

Actually, it's a bone I have with most of the Sydney cafes... they all serve these overpriced smoothies that come out like watery milk with a bit of fruit flavour. Where's the smooth?

And don't get me started on terrible milkshakes here...

One good thing about America: Despite their foreign relations and their eco-centric culture, you can always get a great milkshake...

Too much information, Stanley!

Cibby - I don't drink smoothies - have rules about mixing fruit and dairy... there *are* good milkshakes around tho - I'm sure of it.

Hard to find malt though if that's what you're after...

Cafe Omelette in Surry Hills here in Sydney is GREAT! Give it a go! (They do serve other stuff besides the omelettes - but I loooove my omelettes!)
